5th Annual University of Auckland Mass Spectrometry Symposium

This year our annual symposium will feature talks from around New Zealand and overseas highlighting mass spectrometry applications from a variety of fields, including:
• Clinical Proteomics         • Natural Product Screening       • Commercial Research
• Food & Wine Science      • Biomedical Research                 • E-Cigarettes & Volatile Analysis

Keynote speaker Associate Professor Michelle Hill (QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, and the Centre for Clinical Research, The University of Queensland) will describe her use of mass spectrometry in clinical diagnostics and research, in the areas of cancer, amyloidosis, diabetes and asthma, while Jacob Jaine (Analytica, Hamilton) will give a perspective of mass spectrometry in a commercial setting from one of New Zealand’s premier analytical facilities.

This year we are also hosting three Pre-Symposium Workshops to be held the afternoon prior, covering:
          • Imaging Mass Spectrometry                • Metabolomics                • Proteomics
