Scion is seeking a mass spectrometry scientist for a fixed-term position. The role will include assisting with the coordination of Scion’s Mass Spectrometry capability, promote its usage and train staff in the operation and interpretation of data. Contributing to number of projects across Scion, your primary focus will be to work with staff and clients to promote Scion’s Mass Spec capability, ensuring the prompt analysis of MS samples. This will involve collation, analysis, and reporting results of experimental investigations. You will also provide technical leadership in designing experiments for projects requiring GC-MS, LC-MS and Pyro-GC-MS.

You will need to have a PhD with at least 3 years research or commercial experience in chemistry with demonstrated mass spectrometry experience. This position will work in tandem with an existing MS scientist.
